The CFMOTO 1000MT-X is CFMOTO Australia’s new flagship adventure motorcycle. It is built around a 946.2 cc parallel twin engine, combined with premium suspension, advanced electronics, and rugged off road capability.
Designed for Australian conditions, the 1000MT-X blends long distance comfort with real off road capability and modern rider technology. It is engineered to handle everything from daily commuting to multi day touring and remote adventure routes.
At the heart of the 1000MT-X is a powerful twin cylinder engine delivering strong performance across the rev range.
Key engine specifications include:
946.2 cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine
83 kW (111 hp) at 8,500 rpm
105 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm
Bosch electronic fuel injection
Six speed transmission with slipper clutch
The engine architecture is based on KTM’s LC8c platform and has been validated through extensive endurance testing.
The 1000MT-X is designed to deliver confident performance both on road and off road.
Adventure focused hardware includes:
21 inch front and 18 inch rear wheels
Fully adjustable KYB suspension
230 mm fork travel (190 mm on the LS variant)
Brembo braking system with dual 320 mm front discs
Cornering ABS with rear ABS switchable for off road riding
The chassis uses a chrome molybdenum steel trellis frame with an aluminium swingarm for strength and rigidity.
The CFMOTO 1000MT-X integrates modern rider aids designed to enhance safety, control, and comfort.

Five ride modes (Standard, Off Road, Rain, All Terrain, Master)

Connectivity with the CFMOTO RIDE App is also supported with a compatible smartphone.
The 1000MT-X is designed for serious touring and adventure riding.
Touring highlights include:
22.5 litre split twin tank system
500 km plus potential riding range depending on conditions
Adjustable windscreen
Position adjustable handlebars
Standard expedition protection including skid plate, handguards and chain guard
The twin tank layout lowers the centre of gravity and improves balance during both seated and standing riding.
Two versions of the bike will be available.
Long travel off road focused setup with:
870 mm seat height
230 mm fork travel
240 mm ground clearance
A more road oriented configuration with:
830 mm seat height
190 mm fork travel
200 mm ground clearance

The CFMOTO 1000MT-X will launch in Australia with a ride away price of $18,990, including 12 months registration.
The motorcycle is supported by a 3 year factory warranty program, subject to servicing requirements.
Customers who purchase a new 1000MT-X or 1000MT-X LS before 30 June 2026 may choose one complimentary accessory kit.
